Today’s topic is going to be geared towards the question are you running to lose weight quickly? Is it possible? Yes. But you should also implement the things I’m about to tell you below. To ensure you get the results you want.
Running To Lose Weight Quickly?
Ok, we know that running does, in fact, help with weight loss. It has been doing so for many years before we even came into this world. But if you are running and not applying other beneficial methods to lose weight. You are probably wasting your time and energy.
How Much Should You Run?
This all depends on your stamina and how much you can push yourself. If you are trying to lose weight quickly the run like such. If you are trying to lose weight in moderation run like it or just running to do it. Then treat is as such. But for my runners that have their mind made up.
In other words, know what you are running for and you have your goal set and plan on sticking to it. You should run according to your goal. I would suggest longer and faster-paced running/jogging for those looking to knock off the pounds in a timely fashion.
For those who run/jog every now and then, I would suggest shorter and slower paced running/jogging 15-20 minutes for those looking for fast results and 5-10 for those who are doing it in moderation.
Either way is good and but remember we have to crawl before we walk so. Don’t be discouraged if you cannot do the longer route just yet. Stay dedicated and you will soon be able to do it with ease.
Where Should You Run?
This just like the first topic is all according to you and what your goal is. Longer more advanced ground levels at a considerable pace would be ideal for someone who is looking to see results fast.
Shorter flatter or evenly grounded areas at a slower pace would be the way to go if you are doing it for the long-term results.
I would suggest you do you’re running up and down the street, around the track field at a local school, the park, or gym. Either is fine and should give you the running experience you desire.
If you are not comfortable with any of those places I just mentioned. You could always invest in a treadmill. I did and I have a funny story to tell on why I did. You can view the treadmill and reason why I decided to get one here.
This treadmill does it all. Top of the line real deal. I have had mine for some time now and I still use it to this day. One of the best investments of all my exercise equipment most definitely.
What To Eat While Running To Lose Weight
I stress this in each and every one of my weight loss posts. You will not lose weight effectively if you do not eat properly. You must eat healthy beneficial foods and drink healthy beneficial drinks. In order to lose weight successfully. I’ll name a few things you should look into consuming.
Foods you should get in your system. Soon after a good run exercise.
- Greek Yogurt
- Chicken Breast
- Protein Bar
These are three healthy weight loss smoothies you can consume that will help you achieve your goal. They are absolutely delicious. I’m going to go make me one as soon as I get finished writing this post.
If you aren’t into smoothies you could check out this green tea as an alternative. This is often recommended for weight loss. Green tea is the secret sauce.
By far one of the healthiest drinks you can consume on the planet.
Good Running Shoes
Be sure that you have good durable running shoes. It’s plenty of shoes that claim to be good running shoes. But I will give you the best two in my opinion for men and for women.
It’s best to get something with a proven track record and comfortable with impact. You want something that is going to hold up to all that pressure you will be applying to it. You also want something that will keep your joints and ankles intact as well.
Check out the running shoe I recommend for men and women here. Running Shoes For Men and Women.
They have plenty of different styles and colors. I doubt you will run into someone who has the same pair as you.
So do your running. Just be sure you are doing it the right way. I hope I didn’t go over your head with anything I mentioned. But if I did you can ask me in the comments section below.
Seriously though if you want to get a good laugh check out my treadmill story it’s one for the books. But we all have to live a little to learn a lot. That’s easier said than done.
